Company Profile

Digital CEnergy Australia was formed in 2005 to provide advisory and consulting services to the Australian Consumer Electronic Industry and the Government Sector. The company name arises out of the synergy between the two core activities of the business, being, digital technologies such as Digital Television and Digital Interfaces and Software and energy efficiency of Consumer Electronic Equipment.

The company’s principle consultant is Keith Jones, who has had extensive experience in the electronics industry. Prior to forming this business he was General Manager of the Panasonic television factory in Penrith, NSW, Australia. Keith is well known in the CE industry and has extensive knowledge of both the market and technology trends both here in Australia and Internationally. Keith not only holds a degree in Engineering but also Post Graduate degrees in Economics and Management which makes him well placed to help bridge the gaps that often develop between the technical and commercial worlds.

Keith is supported by many associates both in Australia and internationally where he is well known in the CE energy and Digital TV communities. Keith has close associations with AEEMA and CESA and participates in a number of industry forums such as ADSIF, CTF and the Home Appliances Forum.

Keith also has extensive experience in Standards Setting being a member of several Standards Australia Committees and Chairing CT2 Broadcasting and Related Technologies, CT2A Receiving Equipment and TE 1 008 and 009, Energy Efficiency of STBs and Televisions. Internationally, Keith has been a member of the IEC working group developing a new TV energy test method and has recently taken on the role as the Australian Participating member of the IEC committee TC 100 Audio and Video equipment.
